Apparently this is my week to talk about personal topics. First yeast infections, now deodorant. Well now, you’ve got to love a good discussion about armpits. :)
There was something a little bit nerve-wracking for me when I agreed to do a review about deodorant. I really, really don’t like writing negative reviews. But, like always, I must give my honest opinion about products that are sent to me to review. So I was a little bit worried. What if this deodorant didn’t work for me?
There are two reasons I’m very happy that the deodorant Jessica sent me from Miessence does indeed work:
- Instead of figuring out how to nicely write a negative review…I get to write a positive review! I don’t even have to try hard.
- Hoorah…it’s a natural deodorant that WORKS! Do you know how exciting it is that I have found a natural deodorant that works?!?!!?
You may recall what I’ve written in previous posts about the deodorant I use. I learned long ago that antiperspirant and aluminum were to be avoided when choosing a deodorant, so I’ve been using the deodorant that Tropical Traditions offered. While the deodorant from Tropical Traditions works okay, it only really worked for me for part of the day. By the end of the day, I would often need to wash and re-apply. I thought that was just the best I could find in the world of natural deodorants. But there were definitely times I would feel a little self-conscious.

I would love to try any of the natural deodorant. I have been looking for a natural working deodorant for a long time now. I have been fighting an allergic reation to the aluminum in commercial deodarant.

I’m allergic to metals, so for me, the aluminum in the deodorant is a definite no-no. I get all itchy and break out in a rash from it. I am definitely going to have to try some of this. If it works anywhere near as good as you say, I’m sold! lol

Laura, I have a question. I have found that natural deodorants with a scent do not mix well with sweat. It ends up smelling awful. Have you had that problem with others and then found that this one didn’t do that?

This sounds great! At the moment I actually don’t use deodorant and just shower every day (BO is caused by the bacteria on your body, so if there’s no bacteria no BO :o) ), unless I know I’m going to be doing anything more active like exercising or heavy lifting of groceries (then I use one of those “bad” chemical ones applied in advance =P ) Otherwise, I’ve never had a problem, however would love to give this stuff a try and WOULD wear it every day as it is all natural! =D

I would love to try the deodorant!The Rejuvenessence Facial Serum and Firming Eye and Neck Serum look like they would work as a natural alternative to the products I have given up recently in an effort to take better care of my skin! I definitely want her natural mascara from her website! I haven’t worn makeup for about two years now and I kind of miss “dressing up” for hubby occasionally. I especially miss mascara. I’m very fair, blond hair, blue eyes, invisible lashes… so I always *feel* more attractive with a little mascara. When I used to get “all done up” that’s about all there was too it. Occasionally I’d put on a liner and shadow too or a blush, but I always had to have the mascara.

I’m most interested in the cosmetics. It is the one thing I haven’t gone healthy on but know that I need to. But they are pretty pricey!
With Psoriasis and Ecsema in our home, we do tend to purchase natural products to soothe the skin and prevent any unnecesary breakouts. I am interested in the Skin Moisturisers and the Deodorant. As you mentioned in your post, most natural deodorants work only for a few hours, it would be awesome to have one that we don’t have to worry about for the whole day!

I only use Natural Deoderants and while they seem to work for a while I notice that their effectivness doesn’t last after using the same product for too long. I would love to try this product and would also be interested in their In-Liven Probiotic.

Do you know if their baking soda is aluminum free? Most baking soda (unless otherwise labeled) contains aluminum.
