Wanna know how old I am? Well, I just celebrated my 20 year high school class reunion this weekend. This means that I’m very, very young – unless, of course, you consider that last time we had a reunion, all of our kids were babies, and this time some of them have a driver’s license. ;)
And then we realized that if we have another reunion in 10 years most of our kids will be adults.
But we didn’t dwell on that. It’s crazy enough that all of us are as old as our parents used to be – if that makes any sense – which of course it does if you’re talking with classmates from years past.
It might give you a chuckle to know that there was a grand total of 17 kids in my graduating class. (Yes, I bet a couple of you had just a few more in your class than I had.)
I’m also happy to report that of all seven of us girls from the graduating class of 1991…none of us has big hair anymore. (Unless you consider that the wind did some interesting things to mine on Sunday.)
This Gratituesday, I’m thankful for reunions and a chance to catch up with people. Not only did I have a high school reunion, today we had a wonderful family reunion full of cousins, babies, aunts that give great hugs, homemade ice cream and shared memories. We decorated graves together, cried together, laughed together and if I haven’t mentioned it already – there was homemade ice cream.

Oh, high school reunions… We have one any time my family of origin get together. Yep, I was home schooled. :)
Mine is this summer. But it is the week after I am due with Baby #6, so I can’t go. This happened with my 10th reunion, too.
One of these days, maybe I will make it to one of my Class of 1991 reunions….I hope.

I’m thankful that our family had a wonderful weekend together. We started by camping, which was supposed to take up our entire 3 day weekend, but ended after 24 hours :(. So when we got home we made our weekend a staycation (home campfire, San Diego Zoo, dinner out, game night with the hubby, park, picnic, play, bbq). God blessed us through and through :)
My 20th is this year too – but we had 145 in our graduating class. So out of 17, how many came?

I had a gradutating class of 3. Yes, that’s right 3. We have a class reunion every Sunday at church!
It was SO fun to see you, even if our main conversation was just before we had to run out the door….looking forward to our next family get together when hopefully we have more time. =)

I just realized last night that this year would have been my 10th reunion, but I never heard anything about it. I couldn’t believe it had been that long! Time flies, I suppose.
I am grateful for the wonderful family weekend we had. I had alone time with my husband, my teenager was happily gone with a friend to her friend’s vacation home, we had fun in my mom’s community pool…and I did no cook once!!!
This year marks both my husband’s and my 30th high school reunions — yikes! I’m thankful I still keep in touch with my “bff” even though it’s been 30 years. :) Thanks for hosting!

Wow, I would have been stoked to have 17 kids in my graduating class. I had THREE! I think there were 17 of us in the entire highschool :)
I’m grateful today that some of the homeopathic remedies I’ve been trying to cure my son’s skin condition seem to be working… maybe… kinda? At least I don’t think I’m making it worse, so I’m definitely grateful for that!
Wow, I knew we had a reunion this year, forgot it was number 20! I actually was invited to two since we moved away from South Dakota when I was 15. That class was 36 (unheard of size for our school) and the Nebraska class was about 250 when we graduated. Hubby’s reunion is this year too, class of 17, only 4 girls. He is back in St. Edward this week roofing his parents house and was keeping me current on the weather there last night. Hope things were good by you, Laura!
I am grateful for many things. First of all our family and friends were able to get together to celebrate my youngest turning 13 on Saturday. My husband was able to find tires for his car so He and my youngest to make the journey east to His grandma’s funeral yesturday. (The rest could not go do to work and my oldest has surgery today) And also my 18 year old gets to go to Nationals in Shooting Sports, we just found out and he leaves to drive 4 states away on a bus in 2 weeks. Only 4 kids from each state can qualify in any one area and you can only go once so this was a big deal for him, and mom letting him go so far from home without me. At least I know the chaperon personally and know she will care for him as her own.
You have no idea how much fun it is to leave this comment while you are sitting 3 feet away from me on my couch. Hehehe

I am thankful for about a kazillion things today, but at the top of the list are air conditioning, my husband’s return from Iraq and the free Atlanta Braves tickets that the Braves gave to military families yesterday in honor of Memorial Day. What a fun welcome home present for my Handsome! And God provided us with a little extra blessing by allowing my ticket to be free too, even though it was originally supposed to be half price. My Handsome has been a Braves fan his whole life, but had never been to a game in person, so this was a real blessing for him! :)

We’ll be having our reunion this summer and I can’t wait to reunite with everyone. I loved growing up in a small town!
