I had my second child last Dec. and at 3 weeks old my breast fed baby started having food related reactions. I started to change my diet and researching. My husband and I decided that we would make several healthier changes to our life in 2013. As the year is coming to an end I look around and I am thrilled with a home that is microwave free, all storage containers are glass, beauty and bathing products have been changed, and cleaning products have been changed. We have started recycling, and eating healthier. Way more fruits and veggies, mostly organic and gressfed meats (when we can afford it). However one thing we have been struggling to change is our water. We cannot afford a Berkey right now, but we cannon afford not to get one. So we hope to add one to our home soon. Winning one would be awesome!!!!

The water where we live is kind of nasty. We use a Brita pitcher currently, but I would love a more heavy-duty filter to make sure the water is actually clean.

Wow! This is wonderful! Our water is horrible and that is even with a water filter under the sink which then goes to the fridge and then the fridge has a water filter too. I definitely would love to win this. Thank you More Than Alive for this chance to win.

We traded refrigerators with my in-laws to help her back so we lost our water filter. Ick. Our rural water, exacerbated by the drought, tastes bad plus is not filtered at home any more. This would be great.

Hi, Laura! I would love to win this! Have been wanting one for a very long time, and now with my severe thyroid problems, I really know I need it! I love that this is (if I’m correct), the only flouride filter, if you purchase that add-on. Reverse osmosis gets rid of all of the good minerals that our bodies need, so this is THE filter to get. We just moved to a new state… from a home with awesome well water into a subdivision w/ water that smells as if it came straight from a swimming pool. It is horrid! I can’t believe that anyone thinks it is acceptable… From those who are in charge of the city water to those who have it being piped into their homes. I always wanted a Berkley. We have a water dispenser built into our refrigerator, and my husband put a filter in the water line. However, when the power goes out, I can not get filtered water – that is what made me realize I need something outside of the refrigerator.
I don’t have the extra money to buy a Berkley, but I sure would love this one.
