Winter Jam, a huge concert which features several popular Christian artists, was coming to Nebraska. We were able to go to Winter Jam last year, so this year, we didn’t really even look into it. What were we thinking?
Thankfully, our friend Gage had big ideas. He’d never been to a concert, and decided he would do what he could to make it to see some of his favorite Christian bands. Gage has special needs and isn’t able to get around by himself. But he knew our family would surely enjoy the concert. Maybe we could head there together?
Great plan! It was a night filled with praise and excitement. I don’t think Gage stopped smiling the entire six hours we were there. Who am I kidding? I don’t think any of us stopped smiling the entire six hours. What an amazing night!
Here’s Gage and three of our boys in line waiting for the doors to open.
It was a packed house – thousands of Christians gathered together for this concert!
One of the highlights for all of us was jamming with the Newsboys…
We’re so thankful our boys have such fun and talented artists to listen to which fill their minds with a Godly message. We are already making plans for Winter Jam 2015. :)

I am thankful for my wild and wacky kids. They are always surprising me especially at breakfast when I am only half awake. This week I wrote about an especially unusual breakfast conversation about what smells good to God. http://www.maidservantsofchrist.com/detail.asp?DetailID=385&Return=/

I’m thankful that even though my fridge went kaput, we had a spare one in the garage! God always provides! http://lonelywindmillfarm.blogspot.com/2014/04/why-im-thankful-my-fridge-stopped.html

Oh, I’ve wanted to go to Winter Jam for years. Someday!
I’m thankful for the way that God is providing for the kids in our church. We’re sending some to church camp for the first time this year, and they’re coming out of the woodwork to sign up – and the money is coming, too!

I’m thankful that we have more than enough. I’ve been reading a book this month called “Enough”. It spoke to the issue that if you make $20K a year, you were in the top 11% of the worlds richest people. We in America forget that what we consider poor here is actually rich in other parts of the world. I’m griping about having to cook dinner when some people are happy just to HAVE dinner. I have a beautiful home, a wonderful husband and a great kid, food in my belly and clothes on my back and even some left over. Thank you Father.
P.S. I’m also thankful for WinterJam. It was here in Tulsa, OK back in March. I didn’t go this year, but my son did and he had a wonderful time. Thankful that we have Christian music that our kids WANT to listen to.

A little while back, I wrote a post on my blog about being thankful for butter. I have another Thankful post on there, but the butter one is one that made my older son laugh at me. I love it! crazybusywonderful.blogspot.com
I am so thankful for my life that God blesses everyday. I have a wonderful husband who works so hard, two amazing, silly, hard working sons that are my joy and a roof over my head… and butter. :)

I’m so thankful for sunny springtime weather, healthy children, and a wonderful husband. And as a former youth worker, I remember Winter Jam well. Glad you guys had a great time!

I had to park far away from a baby store today. A young man saw me struggling to carry the car seat with my 5!week old, while trying to corral my 2 year old. He offered to help and I accepted- he carried the car seat all the way to the store wherei could get a cart. Just a small thing, but what a tender mercy from Heavenly Father! God does work in small ways.
