Can I ask a few questions?
I made a batch of extract with my daughters over a year ago that still tastes like vodka. We are shaking it twice a week and still have it behind stuff in our lowest/darkest pantry cabinet.
1. Have we done something wrong?
2. Should we take the beans out, shake more frequently?
3. Should we toss it all out and start over?
Something else….help!
Did you cut you beans in half? I have made it 2 times now. It has worked both times but for some reason this last version is less strong.
You probably have perfect vanilla. :) It will always and forever taste like vodka when you taste it on its own. But when mixed into a recipe, it will be vanilla amazingness!
