Back in the day. The day my boys were little. So many yesterdays ago. We made Flubber.
Flubber is easy to make and so much fun to play with! While it looks messy, it actually isn’t. Your kids can help you make it, help choose what color to stir in, and maybe make some to share with friends, too!
How to Make Flubber
Solution 1
1 ½ cups warm water
2 cups Elmers Glue
Food coloring
Solution 2
4 tsp. Borax
1 1/3 cups warm water
Directions:
Mix Solution 1 in one bowl.
Mix Solution 2 in another bowl.
Pour Solution 1 into Solution 2—DO NOT MIX OR STIR!
The flubber will form on its own. All you have to do is lift it out of the bowl!
Tip—try the final pouring of both mixtures in a clear bowl—let your kids watch the magic of the formation of FLUBBER!
Store flubber in a Ziploc type plastic bag.

As you can see, this is also a good lesson for your kids in following directions (see DO NOT MIX OR STIR in all caps). Parents, that means you too. :)
