We had a very productive weekend, cleaning our house and putting up our Christmas tree!! Yes, I know it’s a little early to put up the tree, but I kinda feel like if we’re going to go to this kind of trouble to put something up, I’d like us to be able to enjoy it for a while. Thus, the tree.

After reading this post, Donna asked if I was planning to make a menu planner for these special holidays ahead. I couldn’t let her down!! I made a Turkey Menu Planner, just for Donna. I like it call it…”Just for Donna”. (Oh, if you aren’t Donna, and you’d like to use it too, please do help yourself!! It’s not really just for Donna…it’s just called that because she requested it and I think Donna is awesome. If you want me to name a menu planner after you, it can be arranged.)  :)

If it gets cold and rainy while you’re in Kansas, and you begin to drive each other crazy… give us a call. Lance will open the gym and everyone can run all that turkey off!

I’m so impressed that you can plan out breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can barely squeeze out dinner sometimes. This will be a goal of mine…one day!

Love the idea for sharing what to do with leftover turkey. I’ll be sure to stay tuned!

We have lemons on our backyard tree that I need to use. I was just searching for a lemon pound cake recipe. Do you mind sharing your dad’s favorite with us? Thanks

My husband’s eyes lit up when I told him that you were making monkey bread for Thanskgiving. Hmm. Maybe I should too. :)

Boy, I sure wish *I* had lemons growing on a tree in my backyard. I can’t even imagine the luxury!

In response to Texas Mom of 4: Welllll, I would love to share my recipe and wish it was something spectacular…but my dad’s favorite recipe uses a Duncan Hines lemon cake mix and a box of lemon pudding mix. The recipe is on the box and one my mom made for him each year. Yeah, my dad’s not too much into health food… :)

Sometime though, I’d love to experiment and come up with a good lemon pound cake recipe. Hmm, I think I’ll try to do that soon!!!
