Azure Standard is Expanding!

Visit our blog: www.azurestandardblog.comMrs. Joseph Wood, who advertises with us here at Heavenly Homemakers, is always trying to keep me up to date on the latest great news from Azure Standard so that I can pass it on to you. Her husband is one of their trusted truck drivers, and she and her family are extremely dedicated to serving through Azure. If you’ve been reading my posts about Azure Standard and wishing you had access to this service, you’re going to be excited to read this news!

Azure Standard is going to be adding IL, IN, IA and parts of TN the first of January. They will also be rearranging the current M-1 and M-2 routes into five smaller routes so that food can be fresher when delivered to customers. This is allowing them to add new areas of CO, NM, KS, OK, TX, MO and AR if there were families in those states that used to be off route.

Because of these changes, Azure Standard is super busy, which means that it would be best at this time for you to contact Mrs. Joseph Wood instead of contacting Azure Standard themselves. To learn more or to see about setting up a drop point in your area, call 785-633-3152. Or, if you’d rather contact her via email you can do that at: mrsjosephwood @ gmail dot com.

Also, be sure follow the Azure Standard Facebook page for regular updates and great Azure Standard information!

If your location was not mentioned today, don’t despair! As you can see, Azure Standard is constantly working to expand and meet more needs. Your state might be coming soon!

Sonja, at this time we are going to the western area of Memphis and have a lot of interest in Jackson that is working hard to get enough interest for a drop. Let me know if you would like me to keep your contact details on file so you’ll be one of the first I notify as we head your way!

I’m super excited about this. There is a drop about 30 min from where I live. That has been great, but because of the route changes there will now be a drop in my town. It also happens that the drop will conveniently be in the parking lot of my husband’s office building :)

We LOVE Azure, and I’m glad that others will have access to it! However, I am wondering how this will effect their supply of items? Frequently I will order an item online that is listed online, only to have it not arrive at my drop-site because they are out of stock. (Items like flours, frozen blueberries, or apples). Sometimes I have to re-order the same item several times before it shows up. Is this going to be happening even more often with the added routes?

Hi Anon! Having shopped with Azure for many years I know and understand what you’re talking about from the stand point of the customer. Now that my husband drives for them I have also seen the behind the scene story. Here is what I have learned, Azure does calculate for expansion based off of customer sales. They project the need of products for the new routes so we don’t miss out on the items that we’ve grown to depend on. I am confident they will be watching the buying patterns of the new states and will meet the need, just like they did with the TX expansion. Many times the outages are from massive numbers of individuals who stock up on bulk foods. These purchases are often from one time buyers and are hard for the company to predict. As you mentioned seasonal items can also be an issue from time to time. Azure picks the fruit fresh not green so we only have a window of opportunity to purchase those delicious fruits and get them added to the truck successfully. (Side note: my husband was actually helping them get fruit out of the orchard and into the truck last time he was out in OR. That is how fresh this fruit is!) I do my best to make everyone aware of those situations on our Azure Facebook page. I make sure to post when the abundance is coming in and how long Azure expects it to last. I know that the buyers and owner of Azure are every attentive to the outage numbers and always working to keep them to a minimum. I hope that information helps!
