I am having trouble starting an account – anyone else have this problem?

I filled out the form then I get an error message saying that that “This user was not found in the system” And when I tried again, it says that there is already a user with that name. But when I try logging in, I get the same message again.
(I have never been to Vitacost.com before today)

Having the same issue. Even tried using my husband’s email, thinking maybe it just doesn’t like mine. I’m also a little frustrated because during the “maple syrup debacle” I used a $10 off coupon, and then the order was canceled. When I tried emailing to get them to reactivate my coupon code or give me another, they ignored me. Vitacost may be great for some of you, but my only experiences so far have been negative. :(

Same PROBLEM HERE. seems odd it would happen to the three of us
I am going to eml them directly & ask about it.
IF they give 10.00 off or WElcome you shouldn’t you get an eml from them ?
        with a code ?
or get 10.00 off automatically ?
        sounds a bit weird.
I won’t buy it if I don’t get the promised deal.

Yes, they should email you a coupon code, not sure what the trouble is tonight! If you email, I suggest this address: [email protected], with Catherine C in the subject line as she seems to be one that is aware of HeavenlyHomemakers and should be able to help you out with that.

Yes, they should email you a coupon code. You may want to check your spam folder to see if it ended up there. If you continue to have troubles, I’d suggest emailing [email protected], with Catherine C in the subject line as she seems to be one that is aware of HeavenlyHomemakers and should be able to help you out.

Emma, I’m so sorry to hear that your experiences have been negative with them. I have no idea what could be causing the crazy glitches with them tonight. :( You should probably try emailing [email protected], with Catherine C in the subject line as I’m sure she’d be happy to help you with this.

I’m guessing their servers may be overwhelmed by the response to this offer. I’ve used them before and they were fine. Try again tomorrow.

I was using my tablet at first and was registering without the refer feature. Ended up referring my husband and ordering from his account. Got the $10 on his account but haven’t gotten the $10 on mine.

    Hi Laura-

Have you used this product? Does this have the coconut flavor?

I usually only use Nutiva Coconut Oil and I don’t want to be disappointed :)

    Thanks so much!

I use this brand and it is JUST LIKE Nutiva. It has the coconut flavor and aroma. Hope that helps, even if I am not Laura!

i’m giving vitacost a second chance after the maple syrup stickiness. thanks for the heads-up.

@emma, in the apology email that vitacost sent out after the whole mix-up, there was a new $10 coupon code. the email was dated feb 17 if that helps.

It let me set up an account but the email I got from them was not a $10 off. It states that to get $10 off I must refer someone and so I did that and now it says they have to purchase something first to get the 10 dollars! LOL! Not sure what is going on with that! I’ve never shopped with them. I have placed orders through Amazon from Vitacost. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Hmm, that’s strange. They should send you a $10 coupon code to use without referring someone, so if you don’t receive it by email, I’d suggest emailing [email protected], with Catherine C in the subject line as she seems to be one that is aware of HeavenlyHomemakers and should be able to help you out with that.

I think the issue could be that you have to click on the
“get a $10 Gift Code as a gift from the company to welcome you.” link
      to get the code.
I realized this after I registered with my email so I re-registered
as my husband after following the above link and it all worked fine.
$10.99 shipped is a great deal, thank you, Laura!

I think Karie is right. This morning, I clicked the link for the coconut oil and set up my account there and haven’t received any notice about $10 coupon. This afternoon, I came back here to find out if others had any luck getting the coupon. After reading Karie’s posting, I clicked the link and set up an account through my husband’s email as well. I got an error message, however :) And then when I tried again, I was told the account was already established, so I don’t know why I got the error message. No biggie. But I still haven’t gotten any notice about the coupon.

Now my question is: KARIE, did they send you email coupon code after you sent up your husband’s account or did it automatically take off your account when you checked out?

I don’t know if I should keep waiting on a coupon code or email the company! Thanks!!

Thank you for the heads up about this great deal. I am so excited to get some more coconut oil at a great price. I emailed Catherine C. as you suggested and she was really quick to respond and very pleasant and helpful in getting me $10 off. Since I never did get an email when I originally registered, she is going to credit my order $10 if I send her the order # after it ships. Thanks again!!!

This is the kind that tastes and smells like coconuts? Not expeller pressed? Bummer. I mostly use coconut oil for making popcorn and fried chicken/french fries… Not stuff I want tasting like coconut… Otherwise, this is a great deal…

Yes, the virgin oil tastes like coconuts. The expeller pressed coconut oil is flavorless and great for chicken nuggets and fries!

Interesting. The coconut oil I have in my pantry reads “Unrefined,
Expeller Pressed, Virgin Coconut Oil”. Go figure. Maybe it’s a blend
of both? It is slightly coconutty.
BTW, does coconut oil need to be kept at cool temperatures? Supposedly
it keeps forever, but it goes rancid on me in less than a year. I do
live in hot, humid Texas, so am wondering if it needs the fridgs due
        to the climate.

Oh, that’s very interesting! I’ve never seen one that says that it’s virgin and expeller pressed. Hmmm…

You can keep your coconut oil at any temperature typically, but since yours isn’t keeping well you may want to keep it cold in the fridge.

I ordered the oil anyway.. I did a chat with a lady there , I explained the WELCOME 10.00 off & she said there is nothing like that , ONLY the 10.00 off for a referral ..
    weird.
kind of bummed that this oil will have a coocnut flavor. but those I know that use it say there really isn’t enough to notice & actually makes great pop corn !
    I’m hoping.

I have order this and it is amazing! You will want to eat it with a spoon. It tasted like toasted coconut without the sugar. I also remove my make up with it, have for many years. Works great and doesn’t leave a film. My little dog Bill likes it too. When ever I go into the bathroom to get ready for bed or shower he knows I clean my face, and he will come in and beg for some. Good Stuff! Great value!

I have been having a terrible time communicating with Vitacost over the last month. I was working with Olukemi Latilo but this person was very unhelpful. I originally addressed my message to Catherine C but was unable to ever communicate with her. I am done dealing with their customer service. They supposedly put $10 in my account to use but they told me I have to “create a code.” Does anyone have a clue as to what that means? I have looked and can’t find anything on the website about creating a code to access the $10.
    Thanks,
    Frazzled
