Oh, That Looks…Lovely

We have a super cool brown rectangular basket that sits up high in the kitchen looking cute and adorable. It holds the gum and candy people from church give our boys as rewards during Bible classes. The treats go into the basket and every once in a while, they get to pick something from it.

Last week Malachi decided to redecorate.

Now the super cool brown basket sits empty.

In it’s place is this box, now full of candy and gum.

So, should I make it a new kitchen theme? Because there are more of those kind of boxes where that one came from.

Okay, I came dangerously close to spitting my mouthwash on my computer screen when I scrolled down. I don’t think I’ve commented before, but I love your blog. If it’s not too creepy to admit, my husband knows it as “the blog from that-girl-I-wish-I-knew-in-real-life.”

This is great stuff! LOL Everyone else in my house was sleeping when I read this, and laughing inside was not an easy thing to do. Children are so innocent, and I am glad you decided to share this with all of us. I say to definately go with the theme:) You never know, it might just become a trend!

That is so funn! I love it! My kids do that all the time as well, they decide to redecorate on a whim. The fact that it is a pantyliner box, only makes it that much more funny! I love hearing about your kids!

    This is hilarious!

Have you ever heard that story about the young girl who found the box of ‘napkins’ under the sink and asked her mom about them. Her mom replied that they were ‘special napkins.’ They were expecting dinner guests and the daughter helped out and set a very special table. Imagine her mom’s surprise when she found the ‘special napkins’ at the table with silverware on them!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe that’s why they changed the name from napkins to pads : o )

P.S. Today is my birthday and I’m so excited to tell you – THANK YOU FOR THE LETTER TO HUSBANDS regarding the grain mill – I got a NutriMill for my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have all boys, right? That is gonna be a fun picture to explain one day! LOL!

We also have a big container that “hides” all the candy and keeps it out of reach; however, my little monkeys climb the washer to the top of the freezer to get to it… yikes!

Well it IS a bigger box. :) I bet he was just being optimistic about how much he could get, and fit, in it :)
You could have the boys glue over it with fabric scraps (of swords, guns, cowboys, etc) :)

Ahh…that is too funny. it reminds me of the christmas that my mom ran out of boxes and used that type of a box to wrap a gift for my baby sister. We have a picture of her grinning ear to ear holding the box over her head like it was the greatest gift ever. :-)

Oh too funny! The things children do with such innocence :)

My niece who is two and a half is absolutely adamant that those tiny individually wrapped packages that help her mother with “punctuation” are most definitely candy and we are all very mean for not letting her open them. What a lovely story that will be when we meet her first boyfriend! :)

Perhaps a LOT of BIG stickers are in order for his new box!

I’m wondering- Are you going to feel you have to explain what’s really in the box to all your house guests(since its in the kitchen)? :-)
