The emails about our Dollar Coffee Club have been flooding in and rightly so. There’s a lot to know! Is this coffee as good as I say it is? What’s in it? Does it really help people lose weight? What if I don’t need to lose weight? What if I don’t like coffee? What if I can’t have caffeine?
I love that so many have already given these great drinks a try! And I love that so many are asking about it!
See, if I was normal (and we are all well aware that I am fAr FrOm nOrMaL) I would have you all into my home to learn about Javita. We’d sit at my table and I would make you a cup of coffee or tea, and I’d fix you a sample of all the cold drinks, and we would chat in person while I answered your questions.
Be here I am...not being normal. I have had several very fun moments of sitting around my table with local friends sipping the drinks and sharing about Javita! But for all of you who live in other states and countries, it’s just not possible. So we’ve been partying through emails. Keep the questions coming and I’ll answer all I can! To make this process just a bit easier, I thought I’d answer some frequently asked questions here today…
Answering Your Questions About the Healthy Coffee, Tea, and Sweet Dollar Coffee Club Drinks
What is so great about these drinks you’re telling us about?
In short, they are filled with fabulous God-given herbs and mushrooms that our bodies need for great health. We could grow these herbs ourselves and utilize them every day to help cleanse our systems, give us energy, regulate our blood sugar, and so much more. Or we can take advantage of the fact that the hard work has been done and the wonderful herbs are already prepared for us in these delicious drink packets!
Personally, I am beyond thrilled that I can enjoy my beloved coffee every day and know that it nourishes me and gives me the wonderful enjoyment of coffee too! All the other drinks are super for my health and drinking them feels like a huge treat – all day long. Javita is so much fun!
I don’t like coffee. So I’m not interested in Dollar Coffee Club…
Only two out of the eleven drink options are coffee. Beyond coffee, there are two kinds of healing teas, a hot cocoa (that is out of stock and coming soon!), and six cold drink options that are sweet, delicious, and wonderful for our health. Each drink has different health benefits, so you can pick and choose based on your needs or the needs of your family. (I’m happy to help you with this. Email me and tell me what you’re looking for and I can give suggestions for what would benefit your specific health needs the most. [email protected])
Is there a difference between the two coffee options?
The Burn and Control coffee is great for helping a person lose weight as it reduces cravings and gives your metabolism a natural boost. But I drink it because the herbs naturally remove toxins from around my organs. Yes, yes, yes!
The Energy and Mind coffee is great to help with alertness, concentration, memory, and of course, energy. I tell you, it works!
Both coffees are wonderful because the herbs in them alkalize the coffee, which is one of my favorite perks to this. No more acidic coffee!! They both taste really great to me, and I happily drink them both daily! If I had to pick which one I like best, I would say that I like the flavor of Energy and Mind coffee just a tiny bit better. Just a tiny bit. I really love them both. :)
Instant coffee? How can that possibly be good?
I know!! I thought that was so weird when I first saw that you dump a little coffee packet into hot water and stir. You all know I love a goooood cup of coffee and avoid that cheap stuff in a red canister if at all possible!
But believe me when I tell you this is not anything like cheapo instant coffee. It’s finely ground and I’ve loved it from my very first sip. I almost always add cream to my coffee, but Javita coffee tastes so good to me I happily drink it black. Or sometimes with cream if that’s what I’m wanting that day. I love it either way!
One thing to note: The package suggests stirring the coffee into 6-8 ounces of hot water. I personally like it best stirred into 10-12 ounces of water. But you can play with it to see what you like best!
Can I doctor up this coffee with cream and such, or will that defeat the purpose of drinking “healthy coffee?”
Yes! Add cream or whatever you normally put into your coffee. No matter how you drink it, you’ll still be enjoying all the health benefits of it because you’re getting all the wonderful herbs mixed into the coffee. Now of course, if you add loads of sugar, you’ll be slowing down your health progress. But baby steps, right? At least the coffee benefits you! And I would venture to say that these drinks will likely help you break free of sugar addiction, so it’s a win-win!
I can’t have caffeine. Will these drinks still work for me?
Absolutely! The Lean and Green tea has only a tiny amount of caffeine, so that makes it a great option. You’d need to avoid the coffees, of course, and the Rush drink. But ALL THE OTHERS are free of caffeine. That leaves seven drinks that are safe for you to drink, all of which will still give you great health benefits!
I really want to lose weight. Which drinks do you recommend?
I really recommend that we drink these with only their health benefits in mind, letting possible weight loss be a fun bonus benefit to becoming healthier! But if weight loss is a specific goal you have, I’d drink the Burn and Control Coffee (or the Lean and Green tea – or both!), the Control (cold pomegranate drink that helps regulate blood sugar and provides appetite control), and the Fiber (to help cleanse your system).
I really don’t care about losing weight. Which drinks do you recommend?
All of them. :) They are all so beneficial for our health that there is not one I don’t recommend no matter your size or situation. I’m personally not drinking Javita drinks to lose weight. I’m drinking them daily to help naturally rid my body of toxins and to give my body energy and balance. They do not disappoint! I can now get to the end of the day and be tired (as in, I feel a normal tired after a hard day’s work), but not so done-in and exhausted that I can’t finish my sentences and I forget how to be nice.
What are you drinking every day, Laura?
Well…I’m plowing through about four or five drinks a day. Excessive? I don’t think so. I think my body needs these right now. I’ll adjust as necessary as I go along in this journey.
I begin the day with a Fiber drink (and it’s working so well I may write an entire post about it!). I follow that immediately with a Burn and Control coffee. Later in the morning I’ll have a Flex (if I am feeling stiff and tight) or a Defend (if I feel my immune system could use some love). In the mid afternoon I drink an Energy and Mind coffee while I’m working (fabulous for brain clarity!) and I try to just listen to my body for anything else I need before the end of the day.
I also drink one-two glasses of water between each Javita drink, so no doubt I’m getting plenty of good hydration throughout the day. And yep. I pee a lot. But what’s new?
Can you drink these when you’re pregnant or nursing?
If you’re nursing, it is recommended that you avoid Rush. But otherwise you can drink these as you wish. If you’re pregnant, you can enjoy Fiber, Defend, and the occasional Flex. But you should probably wait to drink the others until after baby is born. The herbs in these drinks are wonderful, but perhaps a little strong for a growing baby inside you. :)
Can I give these to my kids?
Yep! Even little ones can drink them, especially Defend and Flex. Rush is great if your kids are athletic. Fiber is wonderful for their digestion. They’ll feel like their drinking a big treat! (I hear you can give them the drink stick and let them eat it straight out of the package like a pixie stick. For real.)
Are these hot drinks or cold drinks?
Yes. Both. Either.
You can make the green tea and coffees either hot or cold. (Though I’ve found that it’s best if you add the drink pouches to a tiny bit of hot water to dissolve it first, then add cold water and ice and whatever else you like.) You can even add Control or another of the sweet drinks to your Lean and Green tea for fun flavors and extra health benefits. You can drink these however you want! (The only exception is that it is not recommended that you add the Fiber drink to anything but that you drink it as-is without stirring it into the tea or anything else. It’s more effective this way!)

You’ll get 2 boxes of coffee or tea to get you started as a Club Member. Then you can order boxes of all the drinks to your heart’s content and share them with others too!
HINT: When signing up to become a member, you’ll see that you can opt into a Club Connect App. Keep it if you like, but it comes with a $4.95/month fee and for that, I don’t feel it is worth it! I opted out of that one. :)

Phew! After all that, you surely have more questions, so fire away! What else would you like to know about Dollar Coffee Club drinks?
How much caffeine in a cup? Thank you!
Here’s the info I found on their website about this:
“Since the caffeine is derived from natural sources, there can be some variance. We estimate the caffeine
content to be somewhere between 150 and 180 mg per 16 oz serving.”
:)
Are these drinks more healthy than the popular products of Zeal and Plexus? Some of their ingredients, I feel aren’t that great, let alone the price! ????
I’ve not heard of or researched Zeal. Plexus I researched and even tried TWICE! :) Obviously since I tried it, that proves I didn’t feel too bad about it, but my reservations came as I kept looking at the very long ingredient list and because it was one supplement, promising to heal all ailments. I didn’t have any results from it, and concluded that it was better for me to seek supplements that were separate and more specific to my own body’s needs. (Which is one of the big reasons I like Javita. They have many different drink options, each with very few ingredients and each with very specific need-meeting qualities!)
So, you drink about five a day? I know you aren’t paying full price as you are selling, but that would be, for a consumer $5 a day on drinks?
And if your husband drinks a cup or two…and then say a couple a day for your kids. That’s about $15/day for me. More for larger families. I believe that the health benefits are possible, but I’m a bit floored as to how one could afford this.
I drink more than one cup of coffee a day, and I never purchase coffee from a store, so the idea of spending $2-4 per day on drinks just for me seems a bit extreme.
It makes sense if you are already spending $4 a day at Starbucks perhaps, but who is really doing that? Most likely not your typical mom raising a houseful of children and trying to spend money wisely on healthy (sometimes organic!) food for her family.
This just seems kind of out of left field when we have been discussing where to scrimp and save on our groceries!
I am so glad you brought all this up! While these are fun and healthy drinks, and yes, they are taking the place of my normal coffee (and you’re right, I was in no way spending $4/cup at starbucks!) – I consider these to be supplements for our family’s health. For us, they fall into our “healthcare” budget, in which we almost never go to the doctor but eat well and take supplements to nourish and cleanse us at home. Taking several each day is working VERY well for me right now, so I’ll stick with this amount as long as my body is calling for it, making adjustments as needed.
My husband only drinks about one a day right now, a different one depending on his need for the day. Most of my boys are at church camp this month and have barely had a chance to try them (though I did leave some Defend at camp for them to drink when they feel they need an immune system boost!). Once they are all home, we’ll see how it works to keep up with all of this!
I rarely drink anything other than water. Whenever I drink commercially sweetened drinks even stevia sweetened drinks I find them to be overly sweet. Do you feel like these are mildly sweet or do they taste like a typical sweet drink? Is there any way to get a sample? Also I use stevia some but I know that some people question how healthy it really is. Right now I feel like it is fine in moderation and go with the thought that sweets are treats and not part of our daily diet. Do you have any thoughts on that? Do you have any concerns about drinking several stevia sweetened drinks a day? Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I enjoy reading your blog. :)
I water them down a little more than suggested, because they are pretty sweet. Though for me, not overly sweet (well, as long as I add a little extra water!). I’ve researched Stevia quite extensively and do feel very good about consuming it since it is an herb. Though like anything, we definitely don’t want to overdo. I have felt that the health benefit I’m getting in these drinks is so very good that I haven’t felt concern about overdoing the stevia. But I’m also listening to my body and only drinking what I feel it is asking for. And of course, the coffees and teas don’t have any stevia as they are unsweet. :)
Email me and tell me what you’d like to sample. I’m happy to send you some! ([email protected])
I love your recipes and encouragement in our Christian walk. I am saddened that you are now selling via network marketing. Financially this may benefit you, and heath-wise it may benefit you, but many people may join without the huge base of potential customers that you have from your blog. They will not have a chance of making money, which I’m sure you understand. They will be spending a large amount of money to try to follow in your footsteps, but that’s not possible for most of your blog readers. Please be cautious about encouraging people to become sellers. Multi-level marketing is a disaster for most people. You might get lucky, but at what cost to others? There’s a reason this type of business (which I acknowledge is not legally a pyramid scheme) is CALLED a pyramid scheme! That’s how it ends up for many unfortunte victims. Please think of the big picture, and the souls involved.
You are so right that I need to be cautious and I appreciate your encouragement in this. I’ve not mentioned much about the selling before today because my goal is only to help people learn about these products that I’ve learned to love. But I’ve had a lot of people ask about (and VERY, very few actually join) the business aspect. I mention it today as it has become a frequently asked question that I wanted to address. And I’ve been very prayerful about every aspect of Javita and how to share. Thank you so much for your concern as it is valid, and even though I’m prayerful and the people who have contacted me are too, we want to always be sure we’re seeking to do what is true and right in all ways. :)
Thank you. God bless you!
Glad you posted these questions. I wondered about the kids being able to drink the juices as well, and glad to know they are able to try them. Makes for a more exciting business when the whole family is on board. :) Looking forward to trying the coffee!
Yes! I am looking forward to my boys all being home from camp so they can use them consistently!
How many servings does one box provide?
There are 24 servings in each box. If you join the Dollar Coffee Club, a box is $24, which makes each drink only $1!
One note: There is a cleansing tea I haven’t tried yet that only contains 14 servings in a box for $24. I’ve heard it’s extra good, but only needed occasionally. But I have yet to fork it over to try it!
I was under the impression that the fiber drink was okay during pregnancy? Am I wrong about this? I’ve been using it for a couple days now…
Aha!!! So glad you asked! I’ll edit the post to share that yes, you can also drink Fiber when pregnant. Phew! I keep learning and researching and am so glad this one is safe for pregnancy!
Is there anyway you could build sample packs for folks? It’s too expensive for me to commit to a whole box, without knowing if I’d like it.
I’m happy to send you some samples! Email me ([email protected]) to let me know which drinks sound best for your family!
Hi Laura! I’m very interested in this product and most of the ingredients look good. I do however have concerns about the flavored water drinks. I worry about products like this that start with citric acid (usually made from GMO corn) and natural flavors (to vague, what are they hiding?) . So my question is, are they at least GMO free? Thank you for your time!
So glad you asked! Every Javita drink is GMO free, fair trade, and high level kosher which makes them even more pure than organic. The natural flavors are only fruit powders, so all real ingredients! :)
Thank you!
Hi Laura,
Looking for advice if I were to buy some products.
Hubby has lower back pain that keeps him awake at nights. He has had to use OxyContin for years. He has arthritis and bone spurs on his back. He could also stand to lose weight especially around the middle. Normally he doesn’t drink caffeine but has started drinking one in the morning which he finds gives him much more focus and energy.
What are your recommendations?
I live in Canada. How would I go about getting product. ?
Thanks,
Mary-Ann
I would definitely go with Flex for his pain. If he likes coffee (and is okay with caffeine) the Burn+Control Coffee would be great to help him lose weight around his middle and give him more energy/focus. Fiber would be wonderful for helping with digestion and gut issues. So those are my highest recommendations for the health concerns you mentioned. The flavored drinks are sweetened with stevia, so I would imagine they wouldn’t have the same effect on him that fruits and sugar has. All of these should/could be great for overall healing of the issues you’re describing!
Hi again. I should add my husband has many food intolerances. Hoping to find healing fir his gut and improve his ability to eat more foods. He definitely can’t have sugar but even sweet fruits and veggies are out for him. Makes him feel miserable and grumpy when he eats them.
