I love Homemade Caramel Sauce for all kinds of reasons. I could list all of the delicious reasons here, but I think that may be slightly cruel. Especially if you are hungry.
We’ll just leave it at…Homemade Caramel Sauce is awesome and scrumptious for dipping, topping, scooping, and drizzling. How about that? ;)
This is why it makes a great gift in a jar. Try putting together a gift basket with a jar of Caramel Sauce and several apples. Or maybe put a jar of Caramel Sauce and a jar of Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce in a basket with a new ice cream scoop. It’s like an ice cream social tied up with a bow!
Really the possibilites are quite endless when it comes to this great gift in a jar! What are some of your ideas for great uses for Homemade Caramel Sauce?
I gave the caramel sauce to our staff at church last Christmas along with an unpopped bag of Orville Redenbacher’s Naturals simply salted popcorn and directions on how to make their own caramel popcorn at home. Everyone loved it! When I gave it to them I told them to keep the caramel in the fridge…is that right? Will it go bad if left out too long? I wondered because of the cream. I’d like to give it again this year, but if they can’t get to a fridge soon, I don’t want it to go bad.
P.S. Giving Taco seasoning and Steak Rub as gifts too!! Yay for jars!!!!
I had the same question about refrigeration! We love homemade carmel sauce around here too! :)
Hmm, good question. Yes, I do keep this in the fridge. It can be left our for a few hours though and still be fine. :)
Okay Laura,
So I’m a little irritated because I tried to order a case of cultured butter from Azure. Boy was I excited about getting my case of butter and wouldn’t you know it they had none left when they shipped my order. So Frustrating! But I’m wondering what do you do when this happens with your order? Do you buy butter at your Walmart supercenter or some other grocery store in your area?
Yes, that happens to me when I order sometimes too – they do the best they can but sometimes they run out before they can fill all the orders. I do just buy it at Walmart if I have to.
Wonderful! My first batch of homemade vanilla will be “mature” soon (thank you again,) and I’ll be giving some as gifts. This would be a fabulous addition. I pinned your recipe. I’m glad to see this early enough to make a trial batch :)
