you’re missing the Chronicles of Narnia from your list! They make great read-aloud books for preschool/early elementary and read-alone books for later elementary.

Hey Laura, that Little House Cookbook looks fun! Do you own it? Could you give me a couple examples of what’s in it bc I’m wondering if it fits how we typically cook? Like what ingredients are mainly used.
Thank you for the book ideas :)
Laura says
Yes I do own it. It uses “old fashioned” ingredients, which means that for the most part, it calls for real food. :) I haven’t used it for a while, but from what I remember, I had most of the ingredients on hand typically.

I wish I could understand the appeal of the Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus book. That’s one of ours that we picked out to donate this year, we just don’t get it.
But oh, the Boxcar Children and Encyclopedia Brown!! I can’t wait until my 4 year old and his 5 month old brother are ready to read those. :-)
