I just needed to take a Gratituesday and appreciate blogging with you.

When I began my HeavenlyHomemakers website back in October…Char, who helped me with the whole thing, suggested that I also have a blog.

Laugh if you must (because I’m totally laughing)…but I had to ask her what exactly a blog was. <Roll your eyes here>  I’d been living in a non-computer world for a while…and I’d heard of blogs, but I didn’t really know what I’d do with one. (“Will I need to feed it every day? Does it require daily exercise? What happens when my blog gets wet? Does it stink? Will it create extra laundry? ‘Cause I don’t need extra laundry.”)

Finally Char convinced me to begin a blog. It took writing about two blog posts for me to decide I LOVE blogging!!! And it’s all been exciting and wonderful since then!

The absolute best part of blogging has been getting to know all of you!!! What a wonderful way to be a part of a community of people who can encourage one another and laugh together and give each other tips and pray for one another and share the ways God is working in our lives.

I can’t imagine not having this. I can’t imagine not having this opportunity to get to know you.

Suezque would not have been such a big part of my life had we not been blogging friends as well as cousins.

I am just so, so grateful for this blogging world we are a part of. Thank you for letting me be a part of your blogging world. What a joy!

Laura, I couldn’t agree more. I feel the exact same way. I have only been actively blogging since February, but now I can’t imagine my life without the daily encouragement and inspiration I find from this wonderful community.

I whole heartedly agree with you, Kate and Toni. Not mention all the things that I have learned from other moms!

Why am I suddenly feeling like the old woman in the group?

God has used blogging to enrich my life in so many ways. From finding new (and old) friends online to meeting several bloggers in real life, from finding solutions to problems to finding an outlet for venting, this bloggosphere has helped me and added such pleasure to my life.

I’m so thankful to get to know you! :>)

Even more so, though, today I am thankful for a fussy baby. Twice in the past week, she and my guardian angel have alerted me to a couple of issues that could have proved disasterous.

The first time, in the middle of the night, I got up with her and while I was nursing her, noticed her space heater was sparking when it turned on. Yikes. The other time, I put her down for a nap and laid down myself, but she wouldn’t go to sleep. I got up and discovered the toaster was still on – inside the cabinet. Double yikes.

And, of course, after the offending appliances were unplugged and her tummy full of warm mama’s milk, she went right to sleep. I’d like to say I got a bit more sleep, too, but both times I stayed up thanking God for my fussy baby.

Yep, that was the BEST suggestion I ever had. I thank God for your blog every day!

I’m glad you’re blogging too Laura. Way to go Char! :)I’ve loved blogging since I began in 2004.

And Shalee – Are we really going to start talking age or were you meaning how long you’ve had a residence in the blogoshpere? Either way you’re pretty fun and spunky in your “old age”. lol

Today I’m grateful for air conditioning, and like Lenetta, my story includes a thankful prayer for a safety concern that was raised.

    Blog on sisters! :)
