Gratituesday: Christmas Break

I love routines. I love home schooling my kids. I love staying busy and getting a lot of work done each day.

But today, I’m thankful for Christmas Break. Instead of routines and productivity, today I love pajamas, slippers, movies, and leftovers. I love saying yes to inviting friends over at all different times of the day. I love saying yes to playing an extra game of Uno Attack.

We’ll enjoy our routine again in a few days. This week, all schedules have been thrown under the couch. We’ll find them again when we decide to actually get out the broom and sweep this weekend. :)

Share how God is working in your life on your blog, then come link up with us here. If you don’t have a blog, be sure to leave a comment letting us know what you’re grateful for!

Today I am grateful for faith, pure and simple. It is so often mocked and scoffed at (especially at Christmas time), but I believe. And, I’m thankful for that faith which is from God. I really don’t know how atheists make it through the day. I pray that those who are skeptical, even hostile towards the Gospel of Jesus Christ (including much of my family) will open their hearts, and let the goodness of God fill them with faith in Jesus.

Sorry about that – I was on my dad’s computer and things were messing up for me. It’s up now!

I like a schedule, but with my husband home this week, we are enjoying more relaxed routines. Enjoy your break.

Altho I grew up in church, was baptized in camp as a nine-year-old, and have tried to serve the Lord for the following 40 years, I didn’t get saved until Thanksgiving 2010, a little over a year ago.

It’s as if my eyes and heart have been opened, and now I truly love people, and I long to love the Lord with a pure, faithful heart. I’m so grateful to Him for saving me, teaching me how to believe Him and to love. Thank you, YHWH Abba-Sir, for your rich grace and mercy to me, a wretched sinner! Hallelujah!

I feel the exact same way, Laura! It’s pouring here and we have nowhere to go and we’re all still in our jimmies, enjoying new games and books, hanging out together. I love it!

I am thankful for Christmas break too! Thankful that Larry got to have the day off yesterday and we got to lounge around, enjoy Christmas presents. Thankful that we got to enjoy a beautiful sunny and warm couple hours at the park while our kids flew their new kite and played and picniced. Thankful that I get to be a SAHM and be here to play and enjoy the kids. Listening to their joy and excitement as they play with new toys is great :) (the arguing that comes with it at times – not so great). We just played Uno Moo :)

I am grateful for the gift of perspective! It really helps to maintain priorities and remember what is really important in life.

Wow, everyone is taking a break – good for us. These last few weeks have been REALLY slow for me on the blog, but I am glad.

Thankful for this last week off too! Yesterday, I snoozed on the couch for about 45 minutes. Can’t remember the last time I did that on a Tuesday.
