Gratituesday: Fireproof the Movie

Sunday, Matt and I were priviledged to go see the movie Fireproof.

Hearing that this movie was coming to town, our church lovingly bought out an entire matinee so that anyone from our congregation could go for free. AND, they arranged the teens to babysit for free at the church fellowship hall.

What a blessing.

I’m usually not a big fan of movies and often feel disappointed after watching one. Not this time. I thought this movie was excellent and recommend that everyone go see it if you can.

Have you seen this movie? Are you planning to? Be sure to take kleenexes!

I’m so grateful for the producers of this film…and grateful that Matt and I were able to see it together….and I’m grateful for my marriage.

Oooo, I want to see it! We’re supposed to have a weekend “away from it all” this weekend (provided we are over our colds). We’ll have to put that on the agenda!

How lovely! A date, a free movie and free babysitting! I’ve heard it was a really good movie! I think I’ll have to wait to see it when it comes out on video. :(

This is a wonderfully powerful movie that will convict many couples to a deeper committment in their marriages. Laura, I too am so thankful for these brothers who have now produced their third powerful movie like this. I know of several instances(and I have a feeling that there are many) where couples have gone and the movie is the mirror image of their story. In some cases, their story is much worse. Please pray for these families, some of whom are going on to counseling, some to rehab, others to divorce…pray for healing, pray for transformation in their lives…

Oh what a treat! What a great church!
I used to have a church like that before we moved. What a blessing to be a part of a church that really wants to minister to it’s congregation and the world!

I have heard some many good things about that movie too. I am happy that there are good movies like that available. It even made my dad cry, and he does NOT cry! It really seems to be touching hearts. Have a blessed day!

I’ve seen it. It was a great movie. I am amazed that they were able to get a movie with such a powerful Christian message into theatres nationwide. I recommend everyone go.

We saw it on our 8th anniversary. It was a great great great movie…although the acting left a little bit to be desired (well, except for Kirk Cameron, of course!). =)

Those of you waiting for the video won’t have to wait long…the DVD comes out at the end of January. I was shopping at the Family Christian Bookstore over the weekend, and if you pre-order the movie right now for $19.99, you also get the Fireproof soundtrack for FREE and the DVD Seminar from the book Love/Respect (which is an AMAZING book!) also FOR FREE.

We went to see the movie, and then went to our friend-owned coffee shop, and the owner was there. He said he got the book The Love Dare from some customer who had seen the movie, loved the book and bought 40 copies and was handing them out to every guy he saw that day!

I think that nobody really talks like a sermon, even in their own evangelism… and I think that is part of what is wrong with the world. We NEED to show love and caring and let people make their own decisions. Hard Hearts and all.

I loved the movie because it reminded me that there is always another perspective for everything, and God’s is the view I need to try for at all times.

Go see it if you can!
