Gratituesday: I Don’t Know Where I’m Going!

I walked down the aisle 20 years ago this week. Twenty years!!!! I’m not sure where the last two decades have gone, but 4 kids and many other life changes later – here we are.

anniversary13

We’re not much into gift-giving, and typically, we only quietly slip away for a lunch or dinner out together to celebrate our special day. But this year is different. Since it’s our 20th anniversary, Matt decided to plan something special.

What has he planned? Well, I have no idea. I was given a specific list of items to pack and a departure time for a get-away. Other than that, I don’t know a thing about our plans. How fun is that?

We’ll be leaving a long list of school assignments and household chores for our boys. They’ll be all set up with easy-to-make foods. We have a recent college graduate living at our house for several months, so we’re leaving him in charge of overseeing our kids and making sure they get their school work and chores done both days that we’re gone.

Everyone is sure to have a great time! I’m excited for a little get-away with Matt…and as soon as I find out where we’re going, you’ll be the first to know. (AFTER we get back.)  :)

What are you thankful for this week? Leave a comment to share how God is working in your life!

Happy Anniversary! You are so fortunate that he told you to pack! My husband kidnapped me one time and packed my suitcase with clothes that did not fit me. Where he dug them up from I do not know!

I am thankful that my husband and I are getting away to our lake house for 4 nights this week. I am so ready!

We are thankful this week for all the missionaries and all the work they do. And we’re trying to remember to be thoughtful with them! http://t.co/f8vqQMUBJ6

    Happy 20th Anniversary.
We celebrate 37 years at the end of the month and are taking a little trip too but I know where we are going. Great husband you have to do all the planning and giving you such a nice surprise.

I’m thankful this week for my oldest son who started his blog before I started blogging and doesn’t laugh at me when I talk all about those blogging things. I’m also thankful that he let me use him as a gust blogger in my Encouragement series.

Congratulations! I’m so excited for you. How sweet of him not just to plan something special for you, but to make it a surprise. Have a wonderful time! Today, I am thankful that though we are having way too many wildfires in our area, we have wonderful firefighters and rain in the forecast.

We celebrated 25 years this weekend. I wore my wedding dress to dinner! The look on my husband’s face when I came out in my dress was priceless! Thankful that god gave us to each other 25 years ago.
