Gratituesday: Is This Really February?

I beg your pardon, but I’m going to talk about the weather today. I’m not sure what it’s like where you live, but here in Nebraska, it is unseasonably warm.

Normally, a “nice” day in February would be say…upper 30’s. Today, it was in the 50’s! It’s been beautiful for several days in a row, and it looks like our “heat wave” is going to last for several more days.

I sat for a while in the sun today, soaking it all in and praising God for this fantastic treat in the middle of what is usually a long winter. Matt and the boys did some outside work, played outside, walked to a nearby park and shot some hoops.

What a lovely, warm blessing in the middle of February.

Only God can create blessings like this one!

It has been beautiful the past few days here, too…in Southwest Oklahoma! I enjoyed the snow, but have to say that this spring-type weather is very, very nice!

Its very warm down here in Southwest Missouri! I am very grateful for my husband and his friend digging a trench to drain out the “pond” we had forming in our front yard from all the snow. =]

We have had the longest winter of snow, but, most of the time, it’s been beautiful and a fun sensory experience for the kids, good exercise for all and not too dangerous – even if piled high. God is good and each season brings its own delights

Please, PLEASE send some sun our way. Here in Washington we are calling for rain for about a week straight. AND my husband has a roof to replace, so some sun would be GREAT!!

Here in Az, most of us WANT cold weather, bring it on. Our heat wave was not welcome here last week. 82 degrees?! Winters are our relief from the heat so we definitely don’t like 82. Oh well, its not 115 so I am greatful for that!

Laura, I just purchased the Totally Tortilla e-book a minute ago, but paypal did not redirect me to your site, and I never got the option to download anything. It says the payment went through and I printed a receipt. Help!!! I’m not good with these things. Thanks!!

P.S. The weather is heading here to PA the end of this week. I’ll think of you when I run through the melting snow barefoot!!!

We’ve had the same crazy weather in VT too. It was 45 yesterday (almost warm enough for the shorts and tshirts!), and today…

    ONE degree.

YIKES! It’s supposed to be back up to 50 in the next few days, so we’ll see! But, 45 felt great when we have had the past 6 weeks below freezing, and most of that below zero!

It was a beautiful day in Rapid City, SD to deliver meals to the elderly! I think it got to 70 or very, very close. God is good indeed to give us these hints that spring is on the way!

Here in the lower part of SC, it’s been cloudy/rainy for weeks now. But TODAY!!! Ahhhhh, sun. It was in the 60’s, and the kiddos were chomping at the bit to get outside. As soon as their schoolwork was finished, they were gone!! They stayed out ‘ til dark! It was a beautiful day!!
