No, I didn’t fall. Well, actually I did stumble down a few stairs a couple of days ago, and managed to look perfectly ridiculous in front of my teenager, without hurting myself (thankfully). Eh, it was good for a laugh.
The fall I’m referring to in this post is the season. Just about every Autumn I can remember in Nebraska has seemed to only last for a grand total of 20 minutes. We typically go from very hot to very cold with a very short time of “perfect fall weather” in between.
This year has been absolutely gorgeous!!! We’ve had day after day after day of beautiful weather that is in the 60’s or 70’s. I’ve been so thankful for this, and was reminded again today of the blessing of such pretty weather. Even after the sun started to go down tonight, it was still warm enough for us to play outside comfortably. In fact, we all headed out for a little trampoline time (which I am likely to pay for tomorrow – but shucks, it sure was fun).
Here is Elias in mid-flip, which I have to say, was not easy to capture forever on camera. I think I finally got this picture after about seven tries. It’s a good thing he enjoys doing flips.
Brace yourself for the next one. We found that if Malachi would lie down in the middle of the trampoline while I jumped in circles around him “bouncing him” for a few minutes, a little static electricity action began to take place. We laughed so hard at this, I almost fell off the trampoline. But I didn’t. That’s not the kind of fall I’ve always wanted. ;)
I’m grateful for this wonderful fall, and all the joy and fun that has come with it.

Happy Tuesday! I’ve been having a bit of a rough month, but it’s always so beautiful when Jesus pulls you right out of it. This week, I’m sharing about how He is everything good. :)
We are enjoying a beautiful fall here in North Texas, too!
Our family just took a quick trip to Missouri… I got my autumn colors “fix” and now I’m back in Texas soaking up the sunshine and crisp, fresh air!
Awww love those pics of your boys. And this fall has been so, so nice. Really a blessing. In S.W. Wisconsin and my garden hasn’t even frosted yet!
I love fall too! The changing colors and falling leaves inspired me to get out my camera and snap a few shots of the beauty that God has provided for us.
We have also had a lovely fall. For Michigan that is unusual. Each day that isn’t grey I rejoice. Loved the pics of Malachi! Thanks for sharing.
Great pictures! I love your GratiTuesday posts – they’ve forced me to be intentional about all the wonderful blessings He gives, that sometimes I might’ve missed. Thanks!
So glad you’ve enjoyed your fall with yuor boys! :)
I love the “dandelion” hair! :)
I love it when it’s cool and crisp outside. Perfect for playing and even yard work! We even did some backyard camping recently. Sounds like you had a fun evening!
Fall? What’s that? LOL – I was just talking yesterday with a couple moms in playgroup about fall and “seasons”. Wish we had seasons here in SoCal. I would love to travel to the MidWest or East where they have seasons. One day :)
However I do have to admit that I do love the warm weather we enjoy mostly year around (okay, well 60’s and 70’s in the fall/winter time I guess is not too bad even though I’m cold in those temps.) It’s nice to be able to wear shorts in the “colder” months.
I am thankful for GratiTuesdays and your blog. It brings me so much encouragement, ideas, and different perspective that we moms sometimes need. Keep it up, girl, and thank YOU!
Today, I am thankful for my husband! As I was sitting in child support court this morning, I realized how far God has brought me, and how He has restored me and brought a Godly man into my life and a wonderful father for my oldest daughter. I am also thankful that (after a long time!) we will finally be able to get her name changed and also have my husband adopt her soon. God is so good and faithful, we just have to be willing to be patient and wait on His timing, and trust that HE knows best!
I’m so thankful for fall weather and activities that I can spend with friends! I wasn’t sure if fall festivities would happen down here in southern Florida, but they are. Praising the Lord for the gift of seasons!
Saw this post today and wanted to share my thankfulness to our Gracious God. Dear friends of ours were in a accident. In all the ways we look at it they should have been seriously injured. The driver had not a scratch on her, front seat passenger same thing, elderly parents (90yo) a couple fractures. The people in the other car a little more serious but it seems to us that our friends car prevented their death. The driver was having a seizure and was headed down a very steep descent. Praise God in his Knowledge! That He uses all things to bring Glory to Himself.
We’ve been enjoying some incredible weather here in our part of the country (Pacific NW), and we join you in praising God for it!
Thanks for hosting! ~Lisa
I have to laugh! Our A/C is running to get our house temp DOWN to 80*! I hear of people like you using heat, while I think I can count on one hand how many days so far this fall that we haven’t used our A/C. Gotta love Texas! ;)
I lived in Colorado the past 11 yrs, now I am back in San Diego. I miss Fall!
It always puts me in a good mood when the weather turns nice. It was pretty rainy and cold last week, but now it’s beginning to get much warmer again! I’ll be enjoying it as much as I possibly can until the cold weather comes along.
Oh my. To have blond hair like that! LOL
It’s so good to be thankful! There is always something when we’re paying attention…
We have had gorgeous fall weather here in Pennsylvania too! Thanks for reminding me to praise God for his gift of beautiful weather to us!
That hair picture is AWESOME!!!
Perhaps Malachi could be Young Einstein for Halloween. So cute.
My mom always hated me doing flips on the trampoline as a kid. She was convinced that sooner or later I would land on my face! (Which, actually did happen a few times, but I survived. :-) )
Rubbing your head on the trampoline is also a good way to get some static. :-)
