I’ve decided that one of my favorite places has to be the pumpkin patch. What a great place to take your kids! The people who run these things must work SO HARD setting up all the fun things for kids to do.
Last Friday we took a field trip to a great pumpkin patch. It was a perfect sunny day and we stayed for hours. Here are a few pictures of our trip:
The whole group of kids who met at the pumpkin patch that day…an amazing feat to get them all together in one place at one time.
Asa chose a HUGE pumpkin
And Justus was not to be outdone
Elias was a bit more practical
Malachi’s pumpkin was just downright cute
They boys went down this slide something like 30,000 times
Malachi and Elias on the train (oh what fun it would have been to watch me run behind the train to get this picture)
Asa on the zip line
Justus on the zip line
Elias on the zip line
Malachi on the zip line
I’m not sure how they talked me into it…but somehow they did…
Mama on the zip line
I have to admit…the zip line was really fun. And I went back and did it three times. Because it was that fun. I’m happy to report that I wasn’t even sore the next day!
Have you had a chance to visit a pumpkin patch yet this year? Oh you really should! (And if they have a zip line…try it!!)
I’m so grateful for the fun memories I made with my kids at the pumpkin patch! What are you grateful for? Read the Gratituesday details here, then come link up with us!

My kids are totally diggin’ the pumpkin patch we have (accidentally!) growing in our mulch pit this year. But we don’t have a zip line…

That’s the same one we go to!!! We love it so much!

Hi, thanks for the great meme!

How fun! I want to try a zip line!
Donna says
Oh what fun!
We’ve not found one since we moved, but years ago we had a great hay ride at one.
Yours looks super cool!

Love the pumpkin patch pictures!! I can’t wait to go visit ours! Isn’t fall fun? :)

We have a pumpkin patch here, but it’s so dang expensive. Maybe God will open our eyes to another place where it won’t cost an arm and a spleen to have that kind of old fashioned fun!
So glad that you and the entire family had such a blast. I’m really glad that you did the zip line. They’re a blast!

We went to a pumpkin patch last week. My 5-year-old chased pigs, rode a pony, rode the train, and had a scavenger hunt. We also did a corn maze and went on a hayride. Who would have thought 30 years ago that we would be PAYING somebody to ride a pony, chase a pig and sit on hay! I believe the joke’s on us! A lot of fun anyway!

What a great pumpkin farm. Usually our farms have corn mazes. No one has a zip line and a slide. Wish I could take my boys. They would LOVE it!

I am SO looking forward to the pumpkin patch with my kiddos in a couple weeks! (I don’t think it has a zip line, though…)

Looks like lot’s of fun! I am sad to say that the pumpkin patch near us closed down…:o(

What a wonderful trip! We were at the pumpkin patch this past Saturday and had a wonderful time. I think we will likely make a few more trips before the season is up!
Blessings,
Steph

I love reading your blog – I always learn something new.
Today I found out that what you call a ‘zip line’ is what we call a ‘flying fox’.
And here, Pumpkin Patch is a children’s fashion label.
By the way, what did the boys do with their pumpkins?

Laura, where is this pumpkin patch? I wanna go!
