Many of you commented or emailed about how you appreciate my clothing choices pictured in my post about our trip to Nashville. Fashion is certainly not something I blog about much (ever??). I barely know how to pick out clothes for myself, so I usually stick with talking about butter and vegetables. So hey, your comments made my day!
Many of you noticed that I put a simple tank top under my tanks and dresses. Yep, that’s because there are soooooo many cute summer dresses and spaghetti strap tops, but I don’t feel covered enough. That’s my personal modesty preference (and my husband’s), so I’m thankful that adding a tank top underneath gives me the coverage I feel more comfortable with so that I don’t have to avoid those dresses and tops altogether.
When it comes to picking summer dresses (one of my favorite things to wear in the summer, because they are so cute, fun, and comfy), I find three issues for me. They are usually either:
- Too low at the top
- Too short for my comfort
- Too pricey for my budget
- Or sometimes all of the above
All that to say: I signed up for Zulily a long time ago, but forgot about it and stopped looking at what they offered. I’ve been looking all summer for dresses that meet my “criteria.” :) Over the weekend, I happened upon Zulily again. I can’t tell you how excited I am that I did! I found page after page after page of adorable summer dresses and tops to pick from. Their prices were incredible, and I got to shop from my favorite place: home.
Typically, the items they offer are for a very limited time, so everything I ordered is already gone from their site. But just to give you an example, I got the following dress for just $10.99:
It’s not too low at the top, although I’ll still wear a tank top underneath. I love the length and style!
I looked at the Zulily site again today, and while the dresses I ordered are gone, there are now a ton more. I had to make myself stop looking because, really, I don’t need more dresses after the ones I ordered Friday. But I thought you might be interested in taking a look if you have an interest in highly discounted, great quality clothing. For that matter, they have clothing for men and kids, toys, books, kitchenware, and lots of other items too. (I found a great pair of tennis shoes for Malachi that were a great price for such high quality shoes!)

Is another site nee’s see’s dresses. They make modest church going clothes at modest prices. I have looked at the site and love their clothes. Haven’t ordered yet but will soon. Pretty affordable and modest are hard to find.

Curious where you get your tank tops. I find a lot tank tops are so low cut as well.

I will wear tops over my dresses, accomplishes the same purpose . I get lots of comments on my collection of “skirts.”

I just checked out their site and found so many dresses that I loved, I went to order them and even though it says they post internationally each one said they were unavailable to ship to Australia :( I will keep trying and hopefully find something that I can get, thanks for sharing this site.
Have wanted to check out Zulily for quite some time, but am put off by the fact you have to give them your email address before you can enter the site. I’m picky to whom i give my email address and don’t want company emails clogging up my in-box. Is there a way to access the site and look around without giving that information up front?
I definitely hear you on that one! Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a way to look around without signing up. You can easily unsubscribe if you don’t want their emails coming later on.
Whenever I try to wear tanks under my dresses, they also ride up and get bunched up around my waist. Anyone have any solutions for that, or is it just my body shape? I’ve actually tried safety pinning them to my underwear, but that gets annoying for bathroom breaks.
