There’s a new shampoo in town (fine, just in my shower, which is still technically in my town so as always, everything I say makes sense). Anyway, I’m loving it. Maple Holistics sent me their Argon Shampoo and Silk18 Natural Conditioner to try out. Lovely! There’s just something so yummy about new shampoo smells.
Now, I like clean hair, but clean and clean don’t always mean the same thing. I love that this shampoo cleans, but doesn’t include harsh ingredients, sulfates, or parabens. Their products are also cruelty free and vegan friendly. So in this case, clean stays clean.
You may see the price on these shampoos and say, ooh, that’s a bit steep! Pure ingredients do cost more, and I’m happy to say that I’ve found that a tiny bit of shampoo in the palm of my hand goes a very long way. This is saying something since I have long hair and only wash it twice a week. My bottle is going to last me for a very long time. I appreciate this!

I would love to try something new. It is so hard to try new shampoo products because it takes so long getting through a bottle if I don’t like it. And because they are more expensive I feel like I have to use it up. I usually revert back to my good old liggetts shampoo bar.

I’ve been in the search for a better shampoo! I don’t like paying a lot for something that *might* work. This shampoo sounds like it’s right up my alley.
I have shoulder length, very curly (everything from waves to ringlets) hair. I tried the shampoo bar from Tropical Traditions and it did not work for me at all–very drying/stripping for me, and gave me the frizzy-flyaway-big-hair look. It even dried out my hands. I spent 24 hours with a banana mask, then several doses of virgin coconut oil on my hair to try to repair it. My hair absorbed every bit of that oil! I’m using an argon oil shampoo and conditioner now and things have turned around. I would like to try the Maple Holistics set very much.

Oh count me in. My daughter who 13 doing all the natural stuff. She made blackhead removal stuff with stuff in the kitchen. It worked. The she just made bath ball for when she takes a bath. I used one and it left my skin soft. Cant wait to see what she comes up with next.

I just stumbled across your post here and had to comment on the Maple Holistics shampoo & conditioner. I love this stuff! I bought a bottle of each last spring, and it’s just now time to reorder. I wash my long, curly hair 2 to 3 times per week (see Note below.) One of my daughters also uses it on occasion. A small amount goes a long way. Shampoo has great lather, and the conditioner leaves my hair soft and tangle-free. I’ve tried other natural products for my hair, including homemade products, and this brand is my favorite so far. Best of all, it’s natural ingredients do not irritate my scalp (unlike typical salon products.) Note: every 5th wash or so I use a light, gentle kid’s shampoo & no conditioner to “clean” the heaviness out of my hair so my curls can bounce up a bit more.
