Menu Plan for the Week and How to Find Recipes on HeavenlyHomemakers.com

I’ve been having fun the last few days working on some new recipes for the Heavenly Homemakers Recipe Challenge!! Some of you added Homemade Barbeque Sauce to the challenge list…so I thought I’d post the link here and say, guess what? I already have a Homemade Barbeque Sauce recipe on the site! It’s incredibly easy to make. Now, if I could just figure out a good ketchup recipe to use in the Homemade Barbeque Sauce (I’ve been just using an organic, no high fructose corn syrup variety) to make the BBQ Sauce even better!

I’ve categorized all the recipes on my site to make them as organized and as easy as possible for you to find. If you’re new here, I wanted to be sure and point out my RECIPES link across the top of my site. If you put your cursor over that button, you’ll see a big list of recipe categories drop down (Main Dishes, Side Dishes, Gluten Free, Dairy, Condiments, etc.). Then you can click around for hours and find yummy food to make for your family! :)

If you read the stretching a chicken post and follow her instructions
for cooking a whole chicken and making broth, it is really, really
easy. And then moving on to assembling soups and casseroles using your
cooked chicken and broth is also very easy. If you want a bunch of easy
recipes go look at Laura’s “What to do with the chicken in your kitchen”
ebook/recipe cards. The directions are step by step and easy to follow.
and they include how to cook a chicken and how to make broth. I bought
the recipe cards and gave them as Christmas gifts this year. I really
      like them.

You might try reading through what I’ve posted so far in my “Simple Steps to Healthy Eating” series: https://www.heavenlyhomemakers.com/category/simple-steps-toward-healthy-eating That’s a place to start anyway. :)

Hi! Just want to say, I LOVE your recipes and your candid spirit. I also read about you looking for a good homemade ketchup recipe. You might look at the one Jamie Oliver did on his show Jamie at Home. Here’s a link (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/jamie-oliver/homemade-tomato-ketchup-recipe/index.html) You’ll probably need to tweak it to your liking. He likes to use only organic veggies from his garden, much like you. Hope it helps! Keep the recipes coming :)
