Feeling Weary?

Ugh, the weariness. Even in the midst of good times, weariness can set in – in parenting, in marriage, in ministries, in the daily grind.

Today I tip my hat to you, in gratitude for all you do to keep life moving for those you love. Thank you for packing lunches, changing diapers, rinsing dishes, tossing a salad, or paying the bills. Thank you for sweeping the porch, writing a note, disciplining the child, wiping the snot, or driving to the appointment. Thank you for countless hours of work you do – in all its forms – for the love of your family.

Your work is not in vain. You serve a great purpose as you love those around you. Be encouraged! Be blessed!

Galatians69color

I posted this several months ago, but seeing as it is one of my favorite verses, I decided to pull it up again to share with you. Know someone who is weary right now? Pass this on to them for encouragement. I love how scripture speaks and offers true peace for us all.

Thank you for this! I have 5 little ones – one is seven weeks old. We just had a week long stomach virus in the house. It’s been a tough go! I’ve been asking the Lord each hour for grace to carry on. And He has provided!

I have been a long time silent reader….but just had to say thanks for this. I have a 15 month old and am pregnant with our second. I work full time as a law enforcement officer and struggle financially and emotionally every day to send my son to the only daycare in town (which isn’t very good). I know this season is temporary and i am grateful for all that we have, but I hate that every day feels like it is on repeat! I love the encouragement though. It helps me focus on the triumphs and not the struggles. Thanks, Laura :)

God is so good! Thank you Laura for your obedience to Him and for this ministry! This reminder is just what I needed this morning! God’s rich blessings to you, Laura and to all you awesome Mom’s reading this. We are raising warriors for Christ! It’s not easy, but it’s worth it! Also, we are not going to do it perfectly, but God’s grace is sufficient!

I really needed this today! I am definitely weary and feel like giving up on all the goals for the day. It doesn’t help that I REALLY NEED SOME SUNSHINE and it is still cold, rainy, and dreary outside. I will have to bask in the “Son” instead, and that is really better anyway! Thank you for this encouragement to keep pressing on while serving the God I love!

I’m another silent reader. We just lost my husband’s grandma a week ago. She adopted me before we were ever married (almost 20 yrs ago), so she was my grandma too. My world has been upside down. I read the “tossing a salad” as if it were throwing out the wilty/ weepy one you missed in the fridge. Which occasionally happens here. Thanks for the smile. Thanks for all the recipes and encouragement.
