I feel like this is a silly thing to be grateful for, but hey, it’s the little things, right?
I am typically cold from September until May. Slippers, long johns, wool socks, and sweaters are my best friends during these months. Beyond those, I love my hot drinks. Hot tea, Hot Cocoa, and Crio Bru really hit the spot, and yes, it even appears that I can now add coffee to that list. (Who starts liking coffee at the age of 40? This girl, apparently.)
What I really love about hot drinks is that now I associate them with my Bible reading time. There is something so comforting about enjoying my favorite mug filled with a warm drink while I spend time in the Word each morning. Then later in the day, even if I’m not able to sit down again to read, fixing a hot drink triggers memories of Truths I read earlier in the day and reminds me to keep my focus on the One I’m learning to completely surrender my life to.
Yep, sometimes I also share my Bible time with a Lego army.
So hot drinks remind me of Jesus? Well no wonder I am so grateful for them. :) Are you a fan of hot drinks?

We need some more pics of that Lego creation over here please. Maybe we’ll even review them while drinking hot cider.

Here’s a silly little thing to be grateful for, Crio Bru! I had never heard of this but I followed your link and I’ll be ordering some as soon as I decide on a flavor. So thank you, Laura!!! I think you just opened my world up to something wonderful :)

Cavalla is my favorite, and is typically less expensive (which might be why it’s my favorite). :)

I love hot drinks! Even though we live in the south we drink them all year round. I associate hot drinks with conversation with my husband or friends.

Ha! I’m feeling very connected to you this morning. I opened up the post to read and just to my left is the exact same mug you’re sipping from. I’m surrounded with piles of school books and Dr. Seuss books rather than legos, lol!

I am the same way! I am always cold! I am interested in Crio Bru, also. I am going to have to give it a try. I have been making my own Chocolate Chai tea in the mornings. So yummy! I also make a creamy pumpkin spice tea with coconut cream. I, too, am so thankful for warm drinks! Have a blessed day!

I am grateful for you,Laura, and the words that God gives you every day to share with the rest of us. Gratitutesday, especially,is my gentle reminder to reflect on God’s blessings to me and my family, and to keep putting one foot in front of the other on the path that God has put me on. May the Lord continue to use and bless you and your family.

Love coffee…especially with my Bible time! They just go together!!
Not sure how you drink yours, but for years, i loaded mine down with creamer & sugar. After changing our diet, about 2 years ago (to whole, real foods), I had to give it up. (I held onto the creamer for awhile!) Now I sweeten it with a little coconut oil & sucunat! Love it!!

I walked in the door and immediately put on my slippers and a fleece. I’m still cold and am contemplating turning the heat on, though since I have yet to turn it on this fall, I’ll probably just grab a mug of hot apple cider instead. I am also a fan of hot cocoa and vanilla steamers for the occasional winter treat. Funny, I mostly drink water year round as it is healthiest, but I make an exception for hot drinks.

I’m laughing for two reasons: 1) I shared my Bible and coffee with a Potato Head this morning… and 2) I always asked my dad “how can you drink [coffee]? it tastes gross.” and he said “It took me 40 years to learn to drink it.” :)

Hot drinks. Slippers. Blankets. Hooded sweatshirts. You’re right on!

Yes, I love hot drinks – especially coffee :) For as long as I can remember, my father would have a cup of coffee in the morning … in the more recent years I started drinking coffee regularly so it has become my routine to get up and make it early in the morning for him, myself and sometimes my mother. And yes, I usually share a cup of coffee with my Bible time! I enjoy tea also, and recently my mother and I have gotten hooked on a Mexican hot chocolate drink – it is SO GOOD! After reading on here, I really want to try Crio Bru but it’s so expensive :(

I love having a hot drink with my Bible time too! And I will often connect the two. :)

I have my hot tea every morning with my Bible reading time or when I writing on my blog. On a cold fall/winter day, I can’t function right until I have my tea.
