Have You Tried Making This Amazing Peanut Butter Yet?

You will love how delicious this Homemade Super Creamy Peanut Butter is. If you haven’t tried it yet, do it! Our family eats it by the spoonful. :)

Here’s what D’Ann said about the peanut butter this week:

I am truly in love with this recipe! I simply scoop the palm shortening into the food processor with an ice cream scoop that equals 1/4 cup, add the maple syrup, salt and lastly the nuts. I whirl it for 5 minutes, and the end result is pure yummy magic! I make 3 jars at a time and just store them in my pantry. I’ve never had an issue with it going or tasting bad. I also store mine in the cabinet, and it spreads and acts like brand name pb. My family is in love. :)

Yum

Sounds like a great kitchen project for this weekend, huh? Find the recipe here.

What measurement of nuts does D’Ann use in this recipe? And what types has she tried? Thanks!!

My understanding from her comment is that she followed the recipe here: https://www.heavenlyhomemakers.com/super-creamy-peanut-butter-step-aside-skippy, but simply threw all the ingredients into the food processor at the same time instead of mixing them separately.

I did it! We were about out of creamy peanut butter, and I had purchased from Azure Standard for this purpose, but I hadn’t gotten the time (nerve) yet. My son tried it and loves it! I can’t believe how easy this is! Did you price it out? I need to. Thanks for giving me the extra motivation to do this and a lot of other things I never imagined myself doing!

Making this doesn’t save heaps of money, from what I’ve calculated. It just tastes a million times better and provides you with a super high quality, healthy peanut butter.

Yes, I suspected that, and I agree, it is so much better! One more step to not being reliant on processed food from the grocery store! Thank you. :)

Made this last week and the family loves it. My husband says he would never miss store-bought peanut butter if he’s eating this. Very smooth and spreadable. I’m converted.

Laura, do you know how many cups of peanut butter your original recipe with 2 cups of peanuts makes? I love the idea of not dirtying up another pot and throwing everything in together.

It makes roughly 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter.

Organic, unsalted, roasted peanuts. I find that if I use salted peanuts for peanut butter, it tastes too salty. :)
