High Five Recipes: Italian Stew with Green Beans

High Five Recipes 2

Italian StewYum

1 pound chopped stew meat
6-8 medium potatoes, scrubbed and cut into bite sized chunks
2 cups frozen green beans
2 T. dry Italian dressing mix

Stir together all ingredients in a crock pot. Cook on low for 3-5 hours.

    This looks great but is there any liquid to add? Do you mix a batch of the dressing? Thanks Laura

      No, you don’t need to add any liquid because the meat makes it’s own juices as it cooks! I just sprinkle in the dry dressing mix.

    OK, this is my second meal from your site that is PERFECT, and I’ve only done 2 :). The first is the Taco Corn Muffins, complete hit. I tripled the meat on this one, same potatoes and green beans and used cut up chuck roast. The potatoes were not quite done, but gobbled up nonetheless. I would say 5 hours on low, I did 4. We had 2 guests and they had 3 helpings! Thank you thank you thank you for putting out a quality menu that we all enjoyed for absolutely NO HASSLE!!!!! Bless you!
