    Laura,
Your menu looks great as usual! We are trying the Sloppy Cornbread this week. I have already made up sloppy joe in the freezer so I’ll be adding your cornbread topping to it. Can’t wait!

    Blessings,
    Julie

Your menu sounds terrific — especially the tortilla soup. Mmm soup is so good on a cold day!

    Laura,
Have you heard anything or done any research on the lids that come with mason jars? The newest ones I have bought have a plastic coating on the inside of the lid and then I read this post http://ediblearia.com/2009/10/23/home-canning-lids-coated-with-bisphenol-a/ I was just curious if you could shed any light on the issue.
    Thanks,
    Jen

I haven’t done any research on this. I plan to before next canning season though. Sheesh. Even canning our own organic food has draw backs?!

Where do you get turkey ham (I assume not cured with nitrates, nitrites, etc.)?

No actually, I actually just got it at Walmart and it’s the bad kind. Every once in a while I buy itfor an easy meal.
