Remember that foot of snow we got last week? Yeah, I got myself very stuck in a parking lot this weekend. And I had to walk home. (It is times like this that I think having a cell phone would be nice. Otherwise, I don’t miss not having one.) It was only a few blocks. (Uphill both ways.)
When I got home (and after my lips thawed out), I had the privilege of calling Matt to tell him, “I don’t know WHAT I was thinking. Like I could just ram our van through a big pile of snow? Duh. I’m sorry you married such a ditz. I love you.”
My husband is so awesome. He said lots of nice things about how I’m not a ditz. And then he came home, drove me to the snowy parking lot and pushed the van out of the snow with his muscles. Sheesh. I mean, I was in the drivers seat with my foot on the gas as he pushed but…sheesh. Strong guy. If you’re gonna do something ditzy…it is so nice to have a very strong guy around to fix your mistakes.
I’m not planning to be quite so ditzy for several more years or at least until tomorrow…but when I do…I am confident my husband will bail me out. Again.
At least I can cook. Usually.

I had something similar happen. Though I got stuck on my own street. Its sort of a hill to leave our cul-de-sac onto the main road. We sort of got stuck at the corner. I didn’t feel bad though because my DH got stuck there the night before.
Thank you for linking up all your “feeding” info. I have been truly enlightened. I have been thinking about the way we eat and eat out. :( And I need to do something about it. This is not good for me or my stupid stomach. I am gonna have long discussion with my hubby on switching our eating habits.
Besides enjoying all your fabulous tips I enjoy reading your entries because you are a great writer, very funny. Thanks!

I know you have a recipe on here for hot chocolate. And since I am in Iowa with 14 inches plus of snow, I could use some hot chocolate right about now. :) I made your warm vanilla soother last night and we were all feeling full and happy after that special drink.
Thanks again for all your recipes. I use them ALL the time!!!!
Teri
Yes, must have the hot cocoa recipe. https://www.heavenlyhomemakers.com/hot-cocoa :)
Thanks for sharing the menus. It’s nice to see a yummy looking and healthier version of the potato soup I make.
