I often receive emails asking what my kids eat for snacks. To help answer that question and to give you more healthy snack ideas for your family, I’ll try to include a few snack ideas each week on my menu plan.
This week, we happen to have bunches of organic apples on hand (from Azure Standard, my health food co-op). We’ll probably be having apples with a side of apples for many of our snacks. And, as a treat for the boys some afternoon, I will probably make Caramel Apple Dip to go with them.
Also, it’s been a few weeks since I made Whole Wheat Vanilla Wafers. Maybe I’d better double this recipe though?
If we get a hankering to “drink a brownie” I’ll make us all a mug of Warm Chocolate Soother. We are very likely to have a hankering to “drink a brownie”. Although we usually don’t use the word hankering.
Beyond those ideas, we have a lot of raisins, clementines and apples. Lots and lots of apples. I LOVE having apples available for snacks when I can get my hands on them.

I feel like i’ve received a special blessing today…finding your site up and working (i realize this has some sort of negative tone to it but please don’t take it that way. i’m super excited about being able to pull up the site and know it was probably my own fault i’ve missed all these daily doses of Laura-isms) . I must have done something wrong when typing it in during the “server thingy” and just kept reloading the mistaken address or something. i am just thrilled to see it still here and am looking forward to reading the posts i’ve missed!!! I barely made it through those days without my daily Laura posts to read!!
Ooh, so glad you’re back. I’ve been so sad that with all the server issues I had, I missed out on so many of you being here!!!
What is your chicken enchilada recipe?
I don’t have it posted on my site. It is in my What to do with Chicken ebook. https://www.heavenlyhomemakers.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=7
