Stainless Steel Mesh Strainer – 60% off Plus a Giveaway

I remember when I was first switching out non-healthy with healthy back when I was learning about everything from real butter to Teflon to raw milk to stainless steel. A little overwhelming? Only since I needed to throw pretty much everything out of my kitchen and start over. No big deal.

I was just at the point of getting stainless steel pots and pans when my friend said, “Now you need to get rid of all those plastic utensils that leach chemicals into your food while you cook.” I thought I would cry. Was there no end to all I needed to replace?

I wish I would have relaxed a little (lot) more then. Switching to healthier cookware and real food was and is super important, but not worth freaking out over. Slowly but surely it’s all been replaced. It didn’t need to change overnight.

Now stainless steel has become a favorite in my kitchen. If it is stainless steel, I love it and know it is safe!

I recently had the privilege of reviewing this ECALOO Stainless Steel Super Fine Mesh Strainer.

It is made well and super helpful for straining small pieces of food out of liquid. I am especially excited to have this on hand for the times I have once again created lumpy gravy! This will save Thanksgiving, no doubt.

stainless steel strainer2

What a great way to strain bacon bits out of grease or small bones out of broth. I’ve only had this in my kitchen for a couple of weeks, but I can tell it is going to be a utensil I reach for over and over!

5 of you have the chance to win one of these ECALOO Stainless Steel Super Fine Mesh Strainers! Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win. I’ll draw 5 random winners on Wednesday, April 6.

Do you love stainless steel?

Erin – you might want to check out Debra Lynn Dadd’s website, http://www.debralynndadd.com. I’ve been following her for a few years. She suffers from MCS and is a consumer advocate for toxic free living and how to identify toxins and chemicals we’re exposed to daily, and has written a couple books. She’s researched the use of silicon cookware quite a bit and recommends it. She’s got a lot of great information on just about anything!

Ditto! I wish I had stressed less too. I use stainless steel, glass, and cast iron exclusively now, but it did take a while to convert. I also don’t do microwaves, and when we moved into a new house a couple of weeks ago with an installed microwave…let’s just say my kids were grinning big. Strangely, it just totally stopped working 5 days after we moved in. I honestly didn’t do a thing, but they’re skeptical. It was kind of sad because its clock made a great kitchen timer! :)

Wow, this little beauty would be a great multi-tasker. I can think of tons of uses just off the top of my head. My favorite kitchen materials are glass and stainless, both wear very very well and clean up beautifully every time. Best of all, they don’t stain or retain smells from foods. I love that this strainer looks like it is good quality and very sturdy.

I switched to all stainless steel pots and pans a few years back. We had the cheap Teflon ones in college and when they started flaking in my food I got a bit worried LOL.

I’d love to have one of those! I don’t have an easy way to strain things out like that. We’re to the point I want to start replacing the plastic cooking utensils I have, but we don’t have the money right now with 3 under 3. I know it’ll happen eventually though so I don’t stress about it. Making healthy food from scratch & teaching our kids to eat healthy as much as possible is more important to me :)

I am still in the process of the same, slowly switching out all plastic and got cast iron pans and this strainer would come in handy. Also for my kefir grains I am trying to locate a nylon strainer but having no luck so if you come across one please let me know. Thanks for all you do
