A few weeks ago, Malachi helped me pick the pumpkins that we had grown in our garden. He “gave them all a bath” to get the mud off, then we used them as decorations on our mantle for a couple weeks. This weekend, I saw that they needed to be baked and pureed. (Some of them were starting to get squishy.) And so, I followed these instructions for cooking them whole. I now have pumpkin puree for pies and all kinds of other recipes I’ll share with you this week!

Mix some pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, raisins, and nuts into your oatmeal. It is sooooo good and good for you!

I like to mix pumpkin into everything oatmeal, soups, cookies, even into my dogs food and they love it. One of our favorites is pumpkin burgers, just throw in about 1/2 cup of puree into your ground meat. Soooo yummy and my picky eater doesn’t even know.

I never would have thought to put it in burgers!

I put pumpkin in tons of different things and my family has no clue. It’s a great thickener for chili. :)

I love this time of year. The cooler temps, the lovely Fall colors. You want casseroles, soups, stews, apples, pumpkins and sweet potatoes. The spicy scent of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves. MMM! Here’s our menu plan for week.

Is it ok to sub ww pastry flour for ww in recipies that don’t use yeast? I was looking at the pig in blanket and pot pie recipies. Thanks for this site. I appreciate it :)
