Of all the salads in the world, this BLT Chopped Salad is my very favorite.
I shared this back in 2015 after I fell in love with a variety of this salad from the Cheesecake Factory. Just when you thought people went there for the cheesecake, I give a shout out about a salad. But for the record, their cheesecake is also delicious. :)
What I love about this salad is that every single bite is packed with flavor. Between the savory-ness and salty-ness offered by the bacon and feta cheese, the sweetness provided by the tomatoes and corn, the tartness of the lime juice – this salad packs an incredible flavor punch!
It is also filling, which makes it a great Simple Summer Supper. Some salads leave my family hungry and asking for more food. Not this one!

Yep! We’ve been making this salad since you first posted it. I thought it would just be a nice side salad but it really does make a filling meal. Nothing better than picking tomatoes right from our garden and making a big batch of this salad.
I make the bacon ahead of time, when I have the oven fired up for something else. Saves a ton of time. I freeze it and pull it right out of the freezer, crunch it up and toss it in.
The slight bit of bacon grease that freezes onto the bacon melts as you toss the ingredients together adds another yummy element to the salad. Super easy and super tasty!
I also use frozen corn and just defrost it without cooking it. It keeps it sweeter and no need to fire up the stove or wait for cooked corn to cool.
